Infants are fed milk for few months before they start eating other foods. Consultation with doctor is necessary. Baby foods which are available in the market are good if selected properly. But it is important to bring the baby in normal food habit with proper care. Fresh fruit juices are good for them. You can feed the juices of oranges and other fruits enriched in vitamin C.
Try not to mix extra sweetness in them. Taste the juice before feeding the baby to check if it is sweet enough or sour. An egg has high food value. Always give one fourth part of the food or liquid newly introduced to the baby to see if everything is going well. You can increase the quantity slowly. Yolk of hard boiled egg is good for the baby. You can try and introduce other forms of cooked eggs. But do not hurry in the process. If indigestion occurs, immediately consult your doctor. You can add cereals like cornflakes, oats with milk.
Nuts ands raisins may be added to the dish to add the extra taste. Boiled vegetables are another option. You can experiment with all the vegetables. Be careful enough not to feed all the vegetables at a time. This will not let you understand if any vegetable causes allergy or other reaction in the baby. First introduce the ones which are easy to digest. You can simply boil milk with fruits to add a natural flavor as well as goodness of the fruit.
Try to experiment with your little one’s food. This will be a great fun for you to watch your baby sipping in the new flavors made by you. Your reward will be the smile on his face or the satisfaction and excitement after he tastes the new food.
